Accessibility at Block Jigsaw
The surrounding website is designed to be straightforward to navigate, while the game itself is a highly visual drag-and-drop puzzle. This page describes the current strengths and limitations rather than claiming complete accessibility.
Website navigation
Content pages use semantic headings, text links, a skip-to-content link, visible keyboard focus and responsive layouts. Important information such as rules, controls, privacy and contact details is available as text outside the canvas-based puzzle.
Current game limitations
The puzzle board is drawn on a canvas and relies mainly on visual position, shape and pointer/touch interaction. It does not yet provide a full keyboard-only method for moving every puzzle piece, nor a complete screen-reader representation of the board state. Players who require those interaction methods may therefore find the core puzzle inaccessible.
Options that may help
- Little Explorer and Junior use larger boards cells, fewer pieces and no rotation.
- The Full Screen control can give the game more room on small devices.
- Music and sound effects can be switched off independently.
- Written instructions are available separately from the game canvas.
