Playing Block Jigsaw on a Touch Screen

The same puzzle engine runs on desktop and mobile, but touch input uses gestures that avoid relying on mouse-only actions.

Drag to move

Touch a piece, keep your finger on the screen and drag it toward the board. Release to attempt the placement. If the shape crosses the board edge or overlaps another piece, it returns rather than being placed illegally.

Swipe a piece to rotate

In modes where rotation is enabled, a horizontal swipe on the selected piece rotates it. Swiping right and left can rotate in opposite directions. The on-screen Rotate button is also available when you prefer a clear button press instead of a gesture.

Use a deliberate sideways swipe rather than holding the piece in place. A short drag is interpreted primarily as movement, while the rotation gesture looks for horizontal travel.

Use full-screen mode when the browser chrome feels cramped

The main page includes a Full Screen button above the game. On browsers that support the Fullscreen API, this lets the game occupy the display. If native full screen is unavailable, the site uses a page-filling fallback so the board still has more room.

If a board feels too small

Higher modes contain more cells and pieces, so very small phone screens naturally provide less space per cell. Turning the phone to landscape orientation or using full screen can help. You can also choose an easier mode if you want larger pieces without changing the core rules.

Audio controls

Music and sound effects can be toggled independently. Their volume settings are saved locally in the browser where supported, so you do not need an account just to keep your preferred sound level on the same device.
